I was looking at Winter too and I think part of the problem is the snow kind of blends into the light forum background and makes it look a bit odd... I put it on a dark background and it looks a lot better imo

Ahh you're so right ... still looks a bit like a compromised Christmas tree to me though. I guess it's just up to the Helios' Ray now default smiley :p

I agree, winter doesnt look very divine....at all.

@Sandwhich

Oh no.... Was expecting Winter to be a lot more prettier....
As pretty as Winter is, I think the roan coat kills it for me. The pose reminds me a lot of the old Hanoverian coat too, I guess I just go for the more striking poses, like Summer has. Perhaps if they had used a light grey or something along those lines instead. To me the colours just don't seem to blend right, but of course it's probably fine to others (I've never been much of a fan between the contrast of red and green together). I can understand the mane/tail is keeping in with the theme of the others, but I just don't know, to me he doesn't seem to represent 'winter' the way that Summer represents 'summer'. Ah well, he is still quite pretty and I love the details in the coat, so I'd aim for him depending on the bonuses he brings.

Blegh. Much prefer the old coats for the babies. The pose and expression on the old one is much more friendly- it looks like it's walking up to you and saying 'Hey, what's up friend?' The new one just looks perpetually angry and upset about life. Also, the way the forehead bulges out makes me think that it has hydrocephalus or something.
New stuff being tested.

*Buy missing equipment directly through the equipment pop up on your horse’s page.

*From now on if a horse is wearing a Nyx or Hera Pack, the Pack’s icon is listed in the horse’s item list. It’s also true for the Harmony Pack, if the horse hasn’t received a Golden Apple yet.

*You can now search the sales for unicorns and their winged counterparts from the trophy page for the Golden Apple per species and Retired Golden Apple per species trophies.

*On your account setting page you can now see who you gave co-management.

*The Diamond Apple horses as the old Golden Apples dating back from before Mai 2011 (the ones that are currently on the yellow background) now have a background that has been fitted specially for them.

I agree ! It almost like Winter has a Christmas tree on this tail or something
By Retired breeder, 13th May 2014 22:56:08
I think winter is supposed to be a Christmas tree.

His body is the trunk (it's the right colour too), his upright head and legs are "branches" and his tail is the .... leaves?

See I'm not bonkers !

1) default smiley (y)default smiley (y) FINALLY.

2) Cool beans. Although I do quite like the symbol for the Lilly, but that's a minor point.

3) Again, finally.

About Summer:

I'm kind of on the fence about his design. His mane and tail make him look like a particularly spiky fern that's about to be turned into a hula skirt, imo. I feel like the designers didn't take full advantage of what they could have done with the concept of the seasons. Same with Winter. He looks too much like a warmblood, and the design looks horrible on a white background.
