I am one of the regular testers for over 3 years now.. Guess I'll ask you whenever the next event is. Lol |
Update just came. For anyone wanting to know about the new pass system (think it was Josey?) from what i gather, if you haven't bought a pass from your reserve for over 30 days, your meter is already at 300 (at least mine was!) so thats sa plus for all us with too many millions to spend on one pass!
currently trying to sell horses, win comps and look after a large amount of horses to find out what we have to accomplish in order to get the 10 points per day! also, there appears to be no way to 'activate' the meter, which means it should automatically begin refill after it reaches 300 points and we collect a pass.

Update just came. For anyone wanting to know about the new pass system (think it was Josey?) from what i gather, if you haven't bought a pass from your reserve for over 30 days, your meter is already at 300 (at least mine was!) so thats sa plus for all us with too many millions to spend on one pass! What is happening is you will be allowed 10 points per day depending on when you are due to be eligible for a pass. So if you had had say 25 days ago a pass and have 5 days to go you will have your meter set at 250. If you had had say 5 days ago a pass and have 25 days to go you will have your meter set at 050. If you have not received a pass in the previous 30 days then your meter is 300 and you can get a pass right away. I hope this is understandable.

Do we know anything about how to achieve points yet? I've tried a few things (aging a horse, winning a competition, taking care of a horse) already but I didn't gain any points. This post might gain me points, though?

This post might gain me points, though? The only way is to do your normal things today and see what the update brings you.

I went up 10 points - I only looked after my horses, did enter some competitions while I did that

I went up 10 points - I only looked after my horses, did enter some competitions while I did that I went up 9 points but that is OK. Where I was before was a no way would I ever get a monthly pass unless I was willing to pay about10 million.

This may be a little late, but how does the new pass system work?
Thanks. ~Seiko |
I noticed in the spoiler information about the event after the next one there is a horse as a prize, named 'Drum' horse. I am guessing it is a new breed of draught horse?
do we have any information on that horse yet? appearance (in the small image it looks like the shire artwork to me)?skills? coat colours?

I gained 9 points, I didn't care after many horses (only two) but I did participate in an auction and might have bought a horse.
I wonder if activities like buying stuff from the shop, posting in the foruns and sending messages give points. I suppose it's hard to find out, because you don't know what you gained your points for. |
Anyone think Howrse will do Howrse Cup again since the Olympics is coming up?

Masterpost for the M___ promo
New features. Click to display Unsellable horses For all unsellable horses, we're adding a message to let you know why the horse cannot be sold through the Sell icon (back again) to the + menu next to the horse's name. However, when you click on this link, it doesn't trigger the usual pop-up with the Sell and Place in the Safe Haven options. Another pop-up appears instead indicating that the horse cannot be sold and the reason. This applies to the following horses: Divine horses Wild horses Legendary horses Horses with legendary tack Horses with a Vintage Apple Horses with the Golden Apple from the tutorial Similar to divine horses and horses with the tutorial Golden Apple coats, horses that are not sellable cannot be sent to the Safe Haven. ~~~~ Bump several horse sales at the same time If you are a VIP member and have checked both of these benefits: Purchase several horses or cancel several horse sales at the same time Bump your horse sale orders to the top You can now bump several horse sales using the check-boxes on the horse sales page, the same way that you can cancel several horse sales. 1. Have sales filtered to "Only my sales" 2. Check the boxes from the display list (Cancel or Bump up) 3. A success message appears 4. If there are horses that cannot be bumped (because they are listed for less than 5 minutes, then you will receive a different message indicating this. The promo Click to display The Mazes Make your way through the mazes and stock up on prizes! Some treats and spyglasses will help you find the exit. You should also keep an eye out for the 4 Golden horseshoes in order to win trophies! How do you move around in the maze? Move by clicking on the direction you want to go in. Each move costs you: a treat 10 paces The principle remains the same, however, there have been some adjustments since the last time. Changes: The sweets can now be found at every level of the Titan's Challenge The maze must be done in the right order (1, 2, 3, and 4) The difficulty increases with each maze A movement uses 10 paces (instead of 20 previously) There is only one entry for each maze (and no shortcut) Each entry in a maze, the number of paces recharges to 100 On the map, the route you have taken will appear as a highlighted path You recharge between 3 and 5 paces per hour, depending on the skills of the horse that is accompanying you. Prizes: Maze 1 - Drum horse (new draft horse breed) Maze 2 - Ow's Helios Ray Maze 3 - Titan's Challenge Maze 4 - Divine horse Sekhmet Sekhmet is one of the Egyptian horses. She will offer you one treasure when she wakes up each day. By scratching the treasure chest, you have a chance to win: 1 x Themis' Scale Mashes Skill points you can assign as desired to any of Sekhmet's skills This mare cannot be sold. Where would we be without you Freehold. Many thanks Thanks I discovered this new nice tthing. Click to display There are more moves avail overall and when you have a move available a red number will show up on the promo icon on the top of your page. So you can wait and do a bunch ( like maybe 6 are available) or when the next one is ready and you see the 1 you can do that move right away. This notification I like.

Click to display I've seen a few things written about "cancelled" lottery draws? Can someone explain this to me. I haven't participated in a lotto promo since 2012. If they cancell a draw, do you get your tickets/money back?
|
Also some more good news
Click to display Everyone should be able to get the Drum horse. The Maze 1 is super, super easy and can be done in 2 days with no passes used ( using a top horse). Even someone with 5 days seniority can complete it ( may take a bit longer but can be done). I discovered a VA in the first couple prizes offered, so everyone should be able to walk away with something decent free

How many passes will it take to finish maze 4

ponygirl
Unknown at this point of time. All promos will require passes and to look at any promo thinking you will get it for less than 20-25 is unlikely.

Extremely important info re the M____ promo as I completed it.
Click to display First you can redo any maze after doing the second one, after doing 2 mazes, however you will not get a Second Drum. You can go back and do any maze but cannot go forward without completing that next maze. This is like the Magic rides or treasure hunt promos. So complete all mazes and you can go back and do any maze you want ( including the divine one, but you will not get a second divine). It took me 60 passes with using the special offer of treats in the TC and treats can be found at ALL levels,. including if you were given a consolation prize ( if you lose at any level). You do not necessarily get a higher number of treats the more levels you get to. My recommendation is to collect what you have at level 3 as losing at level 4 or higher can be dicey. Extra info-- I found a SOA on maze 3 at G3 and a TC on maze 4 at K15. One tester did not get the Drum horse because they did not take the one last step of clicking on the shiny blue ball that is in the prize box at the end of the Maze so be sure to do this.

is the Drum Horse a new breed?

For those that like to do pass calculations on promos.
Click to display When the offer of treats in the C here is the calculation thanks to an International player. Average number of sweets per TC level = 4 sweets Maze 1 - Draft (Drum Horse) If completing straight away... -> 100 free paces = 10 free steps -> 25 steps remaining / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 6.25 TCs (12-14 passes) OR -> 25 steps remaining / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 3.125 TCs (6-8 passes) If waiting for free steps... -> Can be completed in 50 hours (2 days 2 hours) -> No passes needed! Maze 2 - Ow's Helios Ray If completing straight away... -> 100 free paces = 10 free steps -> 69 steps remaining / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 17.25 TCs (34-36 passes) OR -> 69 steps remaining / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 8.625 TCs (12-14 passes) If waiting for free steps... -> Can be completed in 138 hours (5 days 18 hours) -> Would take 7 days 20 hours with maze 1 -> No passes needed! Maze 3 - Titan's Challenge If completing straight away... -> 100 free paces = 10 free steps -> 109 steps remaining / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 27.25 TCs (54-56 passes) OR -> 109 steps remaining / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 13.625 TCs (26-28 passes) If waiting for free steps... -> Can be completed in 218 hours (9 days 4 hours) -> Would take 16 days 0 hours with mazes 1 and 2 -> No passes needed! Maze 4 - Divine (Sekhmet) If completing straight away... -> 100 free paces = 10 free steps -> 143 steps remaining / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 35.75 TCs (70-72 passes) OR -> 143 steps remaining / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 17.875 TCs (34-36 passes) If waiting for free steps... -> Can be completed in 286 hours (11 days 22 hours) -> Would take 28 days 22 hours with mazes 1, 2 and 3 -> Need passes to finish Pass calculations... -> 100 free paces = 10 free steps -> 143 steps remaining -> Promo runs for 19 days (estimated) -> 19 - 17 days (time taken to complete previous three mazes) = 2 days remaining -> 12 free moves per day x 2 = 24 free steps -> 143 - 24 = 119 steps remaining -> 119 / 4 sweets (if stopping at 1st level of TC) = 29.75 TCs (58-60 passes) OR -> 119 / 8 sweets (if stopping at 2nd level of TC) = 14.875 TCs (28-30 passes)
