Oh that looks nothing like a real life Curly. This is what a Curly in Real Life looks like.

Looks like a Poodle. But it is a mutation kinda like the Przewalski Horse. It has 66 chromosomes unlike "normal" horse if you will have 64.

Click to display here's one of our horses compared to the welshes on here. They don't really look like welshes do they? Yes but you have to remember that there are multiple strands of welsh. yes this art is out of proportion but i have seen many welsh that look similar. |

To everyone who is saying this will make them quit:
Wow. Just wow. Perhaps you weren't on howrse back then. I wasn't either at the beginning. But when the current coats, the now 'old' ones, were new, everyone said they were "too awful for words." Everyone hated them. Same as the new Karma system and basically every other drastic change. Why? People hate change. At least they think they do, until they realise it was for the better. Give them time to sink in. Think I'm being melodramatic? So do I. But so is quitting howrse over a few edited horses. If you think it's ugly, give it a GA coat. |

Thanks jimjamsj *bows*
But seriously. Some people hated the new smileys enough to 'threaten' to quit. Now? Most people like them and those who don't don't really care anymore ... I feel sorry for the howrse artists who - *gets dragged off stage by security guards* "Alright! I've said enough." |

I have found that alot of the new coats are close to the real life coats, however, being in Australia (yes, for those oversea's please look at the server) I think that the coats should reflect the -Australian- standards for each breed in coats. If they can't do that, then the international show breed standard for each. It's really not that hard to do.
For example, Friesian registries declare, on international registrar law and on Australian registrar, that a Friesian that is to be shown should be no shorter than 15hh and no taller than 16.3hh, the game follows this, however, it also declares that a Friesian that is to be shown, traditionally, and in modern times as well, that a Purebred Friesian of breeding quality should not have it's hair retouched, styled, pulled, cut or it's feathers shaven, cut or minimised. These Friesian Coats are breaking both these laws and considering the Friesian is known for it's mane and feathers, shouldn't this be abided by? Also, from what I have seen, ****personal opinion, half educated in the real world coming up***** the curlies coat looks like it has a had a bout of a disease, the curlies mane should not be that sparse, for being a mountain breed, it has a very thick mane. The curls on a curly should be even and each should be well defined, however small and dainty. . . I know this is a hard breed to keep to, but I really do think that the old one in this case was closer to what it actually looked like. However, this is just me and my educated opinion, considering I spend almost all my time around horses, with horsey people and have met many of these breeds, prime examples too, because I help people who show at high levels and I help those with amazing bloodlines with each horse a prime example of what the breed should look like. But then, I am only a small, non-competitive, lacking in seniority player on Howrse. So what would I know about the breeds that I live, breed and own. P.S. This game is made in the middle of Paris, in the CBD. |

Just because I want to complain about this-
You know when you put your mouse over the skills of a horse to the total bonuses for each skill?? You can not see it anymore! It's there but it is white. That annoys me but I guess I can live with it. Anyone feel the same? In saying that, I am getting used to the new coats, even the ones I dislike. I love the improvement on my hanos and holsteiners! They actually look like warmbloods now! |
thanks raul98oh

Its probably something glitching for you rather than an update.
