I'm somewhat nervous for the next set of updates because I absolutely love the meadows and boxes! I don't want to see them go!

I m testing these now and can tell you that this is only a minor bit of what is coming.

Prepod is ending on the 23rd and changes should occur shortly after.

That's not surprising at all, especially on the INT server.

More information about cows
Click to display
Though they take 30 days like Apples - they are NOT a permanent crop. You must buy new cows each time after Harvest.

These are ShorahNagi's Yeilds from the most recent harvest:

*Both Meadows had Longhorn Cows

27500 x Leather from one of your meadows. (25 acres, no feed trough)
35750 x Leather from one of your meadows. (25 acres, feed trough)

ShorahNagi has no idea if having a Rain effects this number

Wait... What's Prepod? And I really don't want to buy cows and make leather! Why can't Howrse stay the same?!

Taken from the Preprod Change Log: FROM Nagi (cant remember name default smiley (lol) )in international server

Feeding your horse

Feeding your horse is done using only the feed action. This action will give more energy than before.

The prestige value of the meadows owned by the equestrian center in which your horse is boarded gives you a share of fodder for free. If fodder is provided by the equestrian center, the fodder taken from the meadows will not be taken from storage.

Seasons also define how much free fodder you can get: for instance, you will receive more fodder for free in the spring than in the winter.

The food sliders are the only method available now, so that you can see how much food will be taken from your inventory and how much will be provided by the equestrian center, be it from meadows or from storage.

Ow's reply to clear up some confusion as players could not quite tell if they were using Free fodder (that provided by EC meadows and/or EC stock) or their own inventory) - and also as to why Feeding will now be done with Slider only. This is Ow's reply (complete with pictures):

So to clarify things a little

When the slider is in blue it's free.

Sometimes the slider can be totally blue when the EC your horse is in is offering the full monty and the meadows are also giving a large amount.

Concerning the drop down, i can't remember the precise figures but the majority of players use the slider and a small percentage use the drop down.
(found old statistics => 83% of players were using the slider in January)
The drop downs are slowly fading out of use because they require more actions than the slider and aren't as easy to use on mobile platforms.
For instance players using a tablet will have less trouble with the slider than with the drop down feature.

Western ECs have a bit of an extra perk because when they lose their Calves at the end of the month for cutting comps. - they will earn back some leather.

And it has been confirmed by the Admins - Rain has no effect on Leather Production (So you'll get the same amount of Leather with or without her)
Here is the warning from the US server to get yourself prepared for the update EC changes.

-Repairing your boxes (of course)
-Producing a lot of mash
-Producing a lot of fertilizer
-Buying some tack ahead of time
-Buying anything else you might need ahead of time

Thanks for the heads-up Freehold. Do we have a concrete date as to when the updates will happen?
By Retired breeder, 18th February 2015 05:00:01
@Luthien
International says that it will be soon since the GC is aparently over for quite some time so the changes can happen

Prepod ends on Feb, 23, 2015 so I'm guessing sometime after that
By Retired breeder, 18th February 2015 05:45:55
Cool beans- that gives me enough time to stock up on tack for all of my NIB horses, as well as my other side projects. Sad that the GC won't be back until March, since my 2* tack items are gonna be gone well before then.
Someone called Starkitty posted this information on the international server - it's the resources and time needed to craft various items.
If I understand correctly, the number and/or quality of workshops has an effect on the number of items that can be crafted at one time, or maybe the amount of time needed... not 100% sure about that.

if this information is correct (and not just something temporarily made available for the players on test server) then they will be 10e each, so crafting something like a 3* box will cost 50,000e

There has been an ongoing discussion of all the changes on the US server ( without the drama) over the last week and virtually every part of the new changes have been posted with pictures taken from prepod.

That server will be very well prepared when they come in.
