Does anyone know if the memory tiles promo will be back this year? If I remember correctly (pun kinda intended) the previous one was March last year.

I loved it. I'm hoping it's coming back default smiley :)

Will this cause more prestige problems with comps? Since less horses will be able to enter into each type of competition? Or will it help solve them with comps with only horses with 20 wins (most of which will probably be higher skilled) can enter?

Forgotten Country

Welcome to the Forgotten Country, a brand new event!

A puzzle game where you must work your way from one end of the map to the other capturing territories and collecting prizes along the way.

How it works

Territories

Territories are tiles that already exist on the map.

Capturing a territory unlocks its prize.

To capture a territory you must surround the territory with placed tiles.

Clicking on a territory will show a small map of all the spaces required to capture the territory.

You must use tiles to link to new territories and access their prizes.

NOTE: You DO NOT need to place tiles on the diagonal to capture a territory.

Moving around the Board

The game board is big and there is no way to zoom out to see the entire thing at once, but it is easy to move around and explore.

To move:

Hold left click near the area you want to see and drag it into view (towards the center of your screen)

To see the prize for a territory:
Mouse over the territory's pre-existing tiles

To place a tile:
Left click on an available space (outlined in white)

Tiles

Tiles are composed of 4 sides, which can be part of 3 different environments.

You can only join tiles that match the same environment.

You can only place a new tile adjacent to a previously placed tile.

The spaces that are available for you to place a tile on are outlined in white. These are the spots you have unlocked by placing tiles adjacent to them.

Tiles have to match the tiles they make contact with on EVERY side.

Tiles have a random chance to spawn with a chest. The chest will open automatically when the tile is placed.

HINT: Some tiles can be placed down in more than one orientation.

Exchanging Tiles

Tiles come in several rarities, with certain configurations only available in certain rarities.

For instance, a tile with all 4 sides being water can only be a Diamond rarity tile. In this example, if you possess a Diamond rarity tile, but it's not the one with all 4 sides water, you can exchange the one you have for it.

If you do not possess any tiles of the correct rarity for the spot you have clicked on, the game will ask you if you'd like to purchase tiles.

How to get Tiles

- Log in every day during the event (3 tiles per day)
- Win a competition with a horse (1 tile per day)
- Take a horse on a ride (1 tile per day)
- Purchase them individually
- Purchase them in weekend promo packs

The white outlined box the photoshopped yellow arrow points to indicates where you can place a tile. The faded out tiles over to the right indicate a "territory" with a prize, and you can see which prize it holds when you hover over it. The brighter, in color tiles are ones have been placed.Clicking the "territory" gives you this little pop-up telling you where to place the tiles in order to unlock the territory and claim the prize, although it seems we just have to place tiles around all of the exposed sides of the territory, which is fairly straightforward.

I believe the regional preprod should be opening up soon so to prepare you all as this is a complicated promo here is what you are going to see.

Click to display
You have to drag the map around in order to see all of the territoriesThis is the map when you have your browser zoomed out, but when you click to place a tile, you'll probably want to zoom back in so you can see your tile selection more easily.

Click to display
You need to fill in a few tiles to complete a " territory". Although the tiles look like you need to match them to the next one, that is not the case. When you click on one of the squares outlined in white a pop up will show what tiles you have that could go into that space so any will work. The only ones that are specific are the all green or all blue ones and of course these are the rare ones. The special will be 5 tiles for 90 passes and you will probably get those rare ones in that package. Some tiles will have the wooden, gold and Chrystal chest icon in a corner and placing them gives you access to the spin wheel. Once you placed all the tiles needed for a prize territory, you win that prize.

That is it pretty much in a nutshell.

Hot take on the companions:

Companions are available in the form of a luck black market item, the Companions chest:

"Give your horses a companion!

Give your horse a companion and take advantage of the bonus it comes with! Companions are selected randomly from the list below. Every time you win a companion, it is removed from the chest, giving you higher chances of winning the remaining ones. When the chest gets empty, it will be once again refilled with all the companions from the list."

The companions chest costs 1 pass (new money) and contains 21 companions, which have rarities as divine, precious, rare or common. There is one Divine (llama), 5 Precious (owl, frog, dog, grizzly and wetta), 7 Rares (camel, sheep, kangaroo, cat, turtle, bear and penguin) and 8 comon (goat, squirrel, giraffe, swallow, rabbit, butterfly, hen and monkey).

The new llama companion gives a +10 dressage bonus.

I'll be trying to get all the companions from the chest over the next few days and will make sure to let you all know how many passes it takes me.

It's also worth noting while your horse cannot have multiple companions, you can give a horse that already has a companion the chest for one pass again. The current companion will be replaced with a random new one. So if you want your horse to have a specific companion, it may take a while and could be expensive but you're not stuck with whatever you get the first time.

Three companions are also available from the Egg Decoration event: The rabbit, the hen and the new ostrich:

The ostrich gives a speed bonus as opposed to the dressage bonus given by most others.

The hen is found in the Little Pink Egg and costs three of each decoration.

The rabbit is found in the Big Yellow Egg and costs 3 stripes, 4 shapes and 5 figures, as well as decorating 5 eggs prior.

The ostrich is found in the Very Big Pink Egg and costs 4 stripes, 6 shapes and 5 figures as well as decorating 9 eggs prior.

Very interesting to hear..

Great to hear the companions are making a comeback. Do you know if this is going to be a permanent BM item or something that only comes and goes like some other items such as bewitched pumpkin for example? Also by 1 pass, I am assuming you actually mean 100 pass, as per the new game economics?

Just have it's permanent and not just a weekend offer and we have to wait a year or more for another go.

Companion chest. It is a semi permanent BMI. It will be like the GF and TC and only offered at certain times. The cost is not determined yet but I expect it to be 100 passes.

Yeah figured it was too good to be true, but I hope the price is lower. 100 passes is too much for it in my opinion. For 100 passes I want to pick what companion each horse gets.

a question/clarification regarding this...

I'm assuming too that when we open a chest the companion will have to go straight on a horse? We can just open them and have the companion go into our inventory to be used whenever?
