I think the VIP perks are a bit disappointing... Not as bad as Blue but still Seems like they used up their best ideas on Red and Orange

First the most asked question will be.

I got a bone but it is not showing up on the skeleton.

You must get each bone on the skeleton 3 times. The skeleton bone becomes brighter from the first bone in any specific location to the third in that same location.

There are 162 bones that need to be collected even though there are oinly 54 showing up on the skeleton. So while you may not see the bone collected very well the meter will count up from 1 to 162.

Now this part is important.

Next the progression from tool to tool.

2 days *for Tank*
3 days *for Helmet*
4 days *for whatever that Yellow tool is*
4 days *for the submarine?

This is going to be very very very slow.

Key note on the barter.

Make sure you have done any digging on the tool you have BEFORE bartering up. You will lose digs if you don't. Any unused digs go against the new tool and you lose the digs you would have gotten from the old tool.

In other words if you had 5 digs left and the next tool is 20 digs you only get 15 digs. If you use all the digs on the old tool first then the new tool resets at 20 and you would have had used the 5 from the old tool.

If you wait for the help and don't buy the mines right away they come up about 7 days into the promo at 6 mines per pass instead of only 3 mines per pass.

All digs are heavily weighed on the relic side with at least 80% of your dig producing relics over BM items, bones or traps.

However all leftover relics once you have gone up in tools can be bartered for mines.

So 12 relics will get you 1 mine.

And Mines do not have traps attached to them but do have fewer BM items or bones so beware.

Based on what I have done this will require between 20-30 passes to complete ( assuming you take advantage of the doubling bonus part way in)

I can see that being incredibly annoying... Imagine this - you have upgraded all your tools and decide to use 12 of your spare relics to trade for a mine. You use the mine only to 'win' another relic =____= Thanks game...

Shouldn't the mines give you more bones/BMIs, not less?

This was something that really frustrated me about the last excavation promo we had and was part of the reason I didn't try to complete it. I was really hoping this upcoming version of the promo was going to have a bunch of improvements over the previous iteration.

I really like the idea of digging for treasure and the art was really nice last time, but the mechanics do not make for a fun experience. It is nothing more than a glorified Lucky Dip if you think about it (a little harsh perhaps, but that really is what it boils down to ). There's not much skill or strategy required - just a lot of waiting to have another try of the lucky dip and in the end we get the chance to throw a bunch of passes at the game to get extra tries of the lucky dip.

You really would be better off waiting for the Divine to become available in the sales rather than test your luck buying mines and ending up with relics that are entirely useless to you...

My experience is this..

What I got was fewer BM items. Most of us that reached this point did not need anymore bones so cannot comment on that part. I not only got fewer but also got the less desired BM items ( C Fortune, carrots, lunge etc). So unless you have not collected all the bones it was just not worth bothering.
