How is breed decided if parents are not the same?

When you breed two horses of different breeds together, is there an equal chance of the foal being either breed, or do some have more chance of being dominant? Sorry for unclear title

The title is fine default smiley ;)

For crossbred horses:

~ The foal will inherit the dominant breed gene - this is the most important thing to remember.

~ If both parents are purebred, then the foal will take on the breed of the father

~ If one or both are not purebred, then the foal will take on whatever is the dominant breed, as mentioned in the first point.

Two purebreds of different breeds will take on the sire's breed.

Fjord/Misaki + Fjord/Misaki = both parents show as Fjord, but any resulting foals will be Misaki

Varying percentages depend on which one is the highest.
Sire: 50% Mustang, 50% Arabian
Dam/Mother: 50% Arabian, 25% TB, 25% Hano

Mustang 50+0=50, divided by two = 25%
Arabian 50+50=100, /2 = 50%
TB 25+0=25, /2 = 12.5%
Hano 25+0=25, /2 = 12.5%

The resulting foal in this case will be Arabian.

Hopefully this helps default smiley :)
