Some things here I wasn't happy with:

It would be nice if you could get common items such as 5x mash, only ONCE, whereas, in reality, you can repeatedly get the same 5x mash after paying a couple thousand Equus. (This is about buying a different snowball in exchange for a new one if you're not happy with the current prize.)

I got a LOT of common prizes, which, on one hand, makes sense, but when I spend over 200k Equus on one snowball and end up with Artemis' Arrow (after I already got it that turn). It's extremely exhausting.

^These above I got 80% of the time^ Which was rather disappointing considering the Equus prices rise expedentionally, as stated above.

It feels rather unfair, which how quickly the Equus prices rise. At least for newer players that don't have much Equus to spare

At least in this server, it is relatively easy to get higher in the rankings. This is only, however, if you dedicate yourself to ranks. I managed to get above 100th in ranking so I got what I wanted + all the lower teirs, all the while I got some goodies on the way! But if you were to get top 5 I'd assume you either need a LOT of Equus and not keep anything, or just get very lucky.

Overall I got some nice BMI's AND managed to get a Tyche's crown from rankings so I'm happy

I think the snow battle was really good, just a bit sick of getting the same items over and over, would’ve been great so see a bigger variety I’m happy with the rewards I decided to keep

I really wish there were better rewards for the 100th and 200th. also the rewards is general were kind of lame.

Congrats to everyone who participated! Did anyone else get superstitious about which snowballs gave the best items? I was convinced I should only click on the ones with a sad/screaming face...

Wish I'd grabbed more items towards the end, I wonder if I would have been better off simply taking every item I received.

During the Great Challenge I decided to spend the passes to be able to get all the prizes I actually wanted, seemed to be the only way to get the breeding items i need, but I was very selective in what else I took, because I DIDN’T want all the other stuff like companions. Needless to say I wasn’t impressed when the game gave me all the stuff I tried to avoid once the challenge was over. The companions need to stop.
Also i hate the snowball fights. Neverminding the mechanics of the promo itself this time, I barely got anything worthwhile at all throughout the entire thing. Absolutely not impressed

i liked the events and i liked the prizes i got i thought it was good but maybe not to many snowballs at once but apart from that it was good.

I find the Great Challenge Horseshoe part easy peasy as I usually enter a stack of races everyday during the normal course of my game, so I don't need to muck around completing objectives, all the prizes are free and as I say, takes up none of my game time to achieve, so happy enough with that part of the Great Challenge.

The Snowball fight would be soooo disappointing for most players as the cost of selecting a new Snowball is prohibitive for a lot of players.
Clearly only the players with a huge bankroll backing them were able to fight it out for a spot in the top 5, I dumped about 12mil to ONLY JUST secure the 5th spot, and I got real lucky on the very last snowball drop that actually got me over the line, a drop in the ocean for me, but still not a nice feeling having to part with soooo much equus for a new snowball that in a lot of cases was worse than the one your trying to improve This is just not how it should be, the more you pay, the better the prize hidden in the snowball, that's why we swap, and that's how it should work.
And I never ever keep anything from the Snowball fights, as you mostly get the rubbishy stuff repeatedly as mentioned above, and rarely get the top tier prizes. I was bitterly disappointed to see the Starry Aura (junk) in the prize line up, and worse, the 2nd best prize, I've got 4 in my inventory, and still don't have any plans on using any of them

It's very similar to our Daily Objective for the 10 and 20 passes, we have the privilege of forking over upto 20,000 equus to get an objective even more difficult than the one we obviously can't achieve that's why were paying such a hefty price, for a better outcome, not a worse one
The Howrse team have LOST the whole point of paying to swap for a better prize or objective. No one in there right mind is going to pay for a replacement if they knew for sure it was worse than what they already have, we do it with the thought that it's an improvement, that's the POINT!!

Thank you for providing the indicative costs to secure a place in the top tier Josey, I was wondering how much it would be. My rule was to try and stay above 30 points per UFO which still cost me up to $1 mill on one single occasion. Still only landed 11th, close to top 10 but unfortunately missed one session due to real life events. Definitely wasn’t worth it to try and secure the few extra points to make it to 10th.

The prize pool was incredibly disappointing, and the redistribution of points for items made no sense. Allocating 5 points’ worth to some items - what a waste of an update???

Also saw fewer of the higher value UFOs.

Think I’ll just hit snooze the next time this promo swings around

Oh also on the Great Challenge - pretty ridiculous that you’re not even offering new items now for the non-premium line - this game needs a serious refresh

I was very pleasantly surprised with the snowball event. In previous iterations of this event, I have always tried to get the highest place I could, while trying not to spend a ridiculous amount of equus. I think the best place I ever got was somewhere in the 50s.

This time, I completely changed my strategy, and decided to just keep every gift, only swapping if it was one of the least valuable prizes like the mashes, equus or piñata companion. I think I ended up somewhere around 10th last on the leaderboard but I got SO MANY good prizes. I was pretty amazed.

Like Josey said, it is impossible to get a high spot on the leaderboard without spending millions in equus. For those who don’t have that kind of money, I highly recommend doing as I did and just taking whatever you can get your hands on.

You must have been pretty lucky 3763. The highest thing I saw was a single tears and fertility wand.

Usually in other iterations of this promo I would see a couple of H. Pack or HoPs.

I did see a few more ladybugs though, but honestly, who needs more than 1, especially when there are so many other companions.
