Trying to determine whether it's worth getting the premium key.

From what I understand the Zodiac starry aura will turn a horse into a Star who issues **random** fragments for the Zodiac horses...but only a max of 1000 frags, which doesn't guarantee getting a Zodiac divine. I'm assuming once the 1000 frags are issued Star becomes another useless divine.

Am I understanding it correctly??

Thats sort of correct, its the same concept as the "Winds Starry Aura" that came out in a different Promo.
I dont know if you would really consider them a "Divine" they are just a standard horse that can no longer breed or be sold. They dont get any special skills, coat or animations they are just able to win these fragments and you will want to make sure its on a horse that can win comes consistently.
You will also be given "random" fragments for any divines in that collection you already have. Its not just towards the ones you dont.
I have the Winds Aura on a Skiller gelding and i have received most of my fragments for ones I already have in my collection, not to the one I dont. To be honest I wouldnt consider it worth it. They dont make a big enough difference.

Well done Howrse, you have managed to make the Great Challenge less appealing then it already was.

The only reason I would ever purchase the Key was to get the Hestia's Gift that was always one of the prizes in this promo. Instead its now (AGAIN) terrible, useless companions which you cant get rid of and restricted customisation items of which most are boring and have poor designs.

Its almost like the Howrse team is going out of their way to be disappointing, like you get some kick out of letting down your players.

Nothing in this promo is worth spending 600 passes on. Convert that to real money and they are asking us to spend $10.00 on almost nothing. That's a NO from me!

I think so - I missed the first day; I'm at 900 after collecting all the horseshoes today, so should just make the 1200 mark on the last day... where are you at?

Yes, you only need 240 more - you have the chance for 300 if you make it on for the rest of the days left

Yes, you can collect 1300 points if you dont get the premium key, but you should keep an eye on the time at the last day

I didn't get back online in time to get the final prize of Hermes winged staff, does anyone know if the prizes we didn't get to collect got automatically collected for us like in some other promos? (Looking at my inventory, I can't tell). I completed the points, but didn't get to collect the prize before the challenge ended.

horsestar, on the black market page, on the right hand side below the list of what you have in inventory, there is a button for your item history - if you got the staff, it will show as 'Present during an event'

Thanks gaff, I did look and it only shows horseshoes received in the item history, not whether I got the prize or not. So I can't tell as I am unsure if I had hermes wand already in my inventory- so just looking at the wand I have doesn't tell me either. (if that makes sense!)

Ok, I figured it out, as its not chowing as a gift received during an event, then I think I did not receive it even though I completed the objective, but didn't get to 'collect' the gift. A bit annoying that in some events the prizes are automatically added to your inventory at the end of the event (if you didn't get to collect them specifically), but not in all. I see the other items I collected during the promo are listed in my inventory, so yes guess the hermes staff wasn't.

Maybe you should ask the support id this was a mistake?

I am struggling to understand how the prizes work with this Snowball Battle thing. So if at any point during the event I reach the rank required to a get a prize, do I get it at the end? Or do I have to be at, for example, the 99th rank at the conclusion of the event to get the Tyche's Crown? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me

You need to be at that rank at the conclusion of the event.

@horsestar, it would make no sense for them to automatically collect your prizes in this event. You have to be online to collect enough horseshoe's so then it's just a matter of clicking on the 'get' prize button when the pop up tells you that you have enough??
It's different in something like the lottery, where you are not logged in for the last draw but still have tickets in the draw.
