No, the updates are here, I'm not happy with the reserves merging. Everything else I'm okay with.

I'm happy about the reserves merging! Having the ability to grow crops to fund the breeding side of my game is going to be awesome, AND since there is no expiration date on the things we harvest from our meadow we can essentially store them and sell them only if we need some equus

It used to be that we either had a choice between having a high reserve (which means high vet fees and not being able to buy a pass every month) or keeping the reserve low (which means low vet fees and getting a pass for cheap but missing out on horse sales and valuable items in Flash sales). Now we can have a low reserve and still be able to afford things we couldn't before ^_^

Pssh, the economy's already broken, and has been broken for a while now. To be completely honest, equus is meaningless anyways since we literally throw it away for every promo thing.

Luthien, I have to disagree with that last part there, not everyone participates in Promos and just focus on there game.

To be clearer, I mean just focuses on their game instead.

Everyone probably spends lots of Equus on promos because it's not real money ( unless you bought it through passes) so it's not meaning less if it was well let's sell 100* horses for nothing and let everyone take advantage of your hard work and beat you in the rankings

Well, think about it. What is 1 equus equivalent to? Howrse doesn't have a coin system (ie 4 quarters = 1 USD), so equus is everything and nothing. Technically speaking, 1 pass is equal to 40,000 e's, since that's what you can cash it in for. This kind of makes equus everything and nothing, in that it does have some sort of pseudo value, but not really enough to make it super significant. Think about the objectives that require you to donate X amount to Ow; how many of us do them, regardless of what our feelings are? The majority of us. Why? Because we get a reward for doing so. But where does that money go? Literally nowhere, since Ow isn't a normal player that is bound by the same set of rules as we are; she can do whatever she wants if she so desires. Better yet, think of the stupid vet fees; that money is also being thrown into the Equus Abyss. This is why equus is ultimately meaningless: it's just pixel coins that we cast into the internet for some reward or another.

In regards to the top teams "giving away their GP", that will most likely never happen on this server. I have never seen a high quality horse go for anything less than 2 passes in all of my combined time on Howrse.

The pass:equus ratio is about 3 times that I'd say, given the price pass horses go for.

In the end, more equus enters the game than ever leaves it, and this has now been increased tenfold by the reserves merging.

just thinking, if 1 pass can buy you 40,000e, then surely the price of paying for a pass should be capped at 80,000e....

also sarahhope i can't believe you don't pay attention to promos! D: i would not be where i am without my promotions, most of my BMIs have come from there. HOPs particularly, win one and trade it for up to 2 MAs i got once!

Well would you rather the Equus go to a single player and he/she can receive thousands each day? Its better for that Equus to dissapear

To help clear it up a little - no droppings needed buy full manure at the store...

With the recent update of everything merging and not being to be on full alert just to get the droppings. So will howrse take the droppings out or think about it? I read that they are thinking about it somewhere, whrre I can't remember to save my life!

I never said I didn't do Promo's, I do them a lot and end up with over 300 horseshoes with the great challange which earns me M. Arms, but there are players who don't do Promos is my point. Also, sara is fine.

Apparently it's starting today OceanArrow, we're not sure when yet but if previous promos are anything to go by I think it'll start in around two hours, maybe three

Agreed.
To many players, equus is deemed meaningless. It has no stable set value, nor will it ever. Equus will never follow a trend, and will forever fluctuate under our so called "economy" whilst there is still a need to have more.
Maybe if equus we're not being given out by the game at every promo, players might appreciate the monetary value of the stuff, and it might gain it original value back of the good 'ol days when it was scarce...
