So in the end, it's -2 energy for the turnips-changed-mashes and +2 for carrots, so the only thing that'll be kinda messed up is routines. You'll still get the same amount of enery in the end. All the EC updates are really cool, but now I'm going to have to change my routine, and all the changes are going to be kinda overwhelming at the start haha

The problem is a horse can't receive mash as a foal... (I don't know the exact age)
So you'd have less energy for the foal games, but as of the training I think the total energy indeed stays quite the same. default smiley :)

Exactly and the new games I have on my page have been tested to give the 60 points without the use of a fountain or showers. Unfortunately since the feed on the test server is in pounds the games I have are also in pounds. I will be converting them when the change comes through as I can't test them here right now.

So the routine is correct, just the feed needs conversion and then everything will be correct.

Will the pounds be changed in kg then? That'd be nice, I really dislike the way to feed my horses on the int server. I thought it would be changed to pounds. default smiley (lol) I'll see your page when the update is there! Thanks for making new foal games for us. default smiley (y)

As soon as the update comes through ( Sept 7 I suspect) I will test a couple of foals and adjust the feed accordingly. I know I could convert the pounds to Kg now but that really is not as good as actually testing the game schedule directly on the server.

Even better question about the mashes. How often will a horse be able to have one of the new mashes? Because it's gonna be incredibly impractical to keep the old system of mashes now that the turnips are leaving (wish they'd stay, as they are necessary).

fodder, not mashdefault smiley :d.

I'm pretty sure that mash is right...the turnips in your inventory will be replaced by fodder, but that is the food for your horse. The mash will be offering energy, like turnips do now, and they will take half an hour to eat (carrots become 15 minutes). Correct me if I'm wrong on this.
For some reason I don't like it when it becomes something 15 for my horse, I just try and keep it at half hours and hours, I don't know why, it just bugs me.default smiley xd

Some things you could do to have profit from after the update:
Click to display
- Buy calorific mashes; they cost 40 equus and will be transferred to mash with the update, and mash costs 50 equus.
- Grow turnips in your EC, so you have some fodder already when the update comes. Make sure the harvest is before 7 September though!
- Buy unfertile meadows for your EC - they will turn into fertile meadows of the same size (large unfertile meadows will become two medium fertile meadows).

To get a little used to it without having to 'ruin' the progress of my horses, I'll create a new account on the German server and do the tutorial. default smiley (lol) It will, or at least I hope it will, explain the basics of caring after your horse, which should be the new basics. That might help me to get into the new system. default smiley :)

@ star!!

no, i checked the EC changes forum, and in bid captital letters, (LIKE THIS) the author said fodder, not mash.default smiley :d
By Retired breeder, 4th September 2014 08:11:48
Haha no I meant the mashes that were replacing the turnips, not that turnips would be turned into mashes when the update comes
@ Barbara, also, how about this?

It would help to stock up on droppings by selling them and buying them yourself as I believe to make manure it is going to change to 12 droppings instead 25 although if I am wrong please politely correct me.default smiley ^)

In case anyone's still confused about the looming changes, here's a handy-dandy guide to figure out what's going on.

Mashes are replacing turnips, and will now give +10 energy, +5 health, and +10 morale (I think the last one's right...going from memory).

Turnips will be converted into fodder (food for your horses).

Hope this helps keep everything straight in your mind!

Sorry but I don't really understand you. default smiley :s If you're talking about sort of 'converting' from your EC droppings to your own droppings or from your own to EC, aren't the droppings going to be put together?
By Retired breeder, 6th September 2014 00:24:38
Does anybody know what the next divine is, in the great challenge

Well, really sorry as I do truly realize how confusing it is,(I'm am horrible at this stuff in the mornings as that is when I typed it, I'm not a morning person) but if you sell droppings from the breeders store, you can buy them on the EC store, and I believe the droppings to make manure is going to lessen(Yes I realize that that probably isn't a word). I'm not sure by how much, hopefully this is clearer.

Info about the new divine (in the Big Challenge):

Click to display

Huanglong is a divine horse that is part of the Chinese divine horses group

Occasionally, when he wakes up, he can trigger the following bonus: 100% energy for the horses that wake up between the time when the bonus is triggered and the next daily update.

Any other day, Huanglong receives skill points you can spend whichever way you like.

Game: 100% energy for the horses that wake up on the same day as when the bonus is triggered
VIP: win 10% additional items every time you win a competition with items (does not stack)
This horse cannot be sold.

He is to be won with Horn of Plenties. default smiley :)

Yes, if you sell them in the breeders store you can buy them in the EC store, but if it stays like that there's no need to do it before the update (right?) and if they do get put together it would happen automatically. I don't really see the point?
