[Info] Cross Breeders
This is my first time taking crossbreeding a bit more seriously and i have chosen to aim for Mustang crosses, I'm pretty happy with my first couple of attempts. Just wondering if someone would be able to give me advice on training and blupping one of my crossbred horses.
I was thinking of training this mare (Wild Love, Mustang x Arabian) in the same way i had with another of my Mustang crosses (Mustang x Appaloosa). Wild Love's top three skills in order are speed, stamina then gallop.
Starting with training in forest rides and starting her training in stamina and gallop until she is competitive enough to get her 20wins. Selecting western as discipline for comps. Once she has her 20wins completing the rest of her rides and training the rest of her skills.
Am i on the right track for her training if i follow how i trained and blupped the Mustang x Appaloosa or is her being Mustang x Arabian going to change the way i should be training her.
Here is a link to Wild Love. https://au.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=2532134
Well heres what i would do if i owned her
i would prob use her as a gp horse as good stats and all so going to use my training for those for this
i would do Forest rides with her until 2 and add missions on to that train until completed then enter her in races that use her top skills which will be low so u get into lower classes and its easier to win sometimes continue missions as well.
After twenty wins and hopefully all skills gain from comps i would start with mountain rides if i havent l ready started those when forest ones were finished.
Train mountain rides until done and start on all the other skills but contiuning to do missions as well for best amount of skills in the top two
hope this kind of helped u
I am trying to breed a purebred paint with 3000+ genetics but I do not want to crossbreed all the horses available for stud are under 2000 gp
What do I do?
You could try contacting a Paint Horse team and see if you can buy a covering from Horse (most teams dont offer coverings from their top stock however so just be mindful of that), or even inquire into being part of a Paint Horse team if your looking to breed Paints. Additionally you can wait until Paint Horses begin selling in Sales at a high genetic level.
I wanted to see if anybody knew some sort of crossbreed that was especially efficient at winning competitions
If you know of one could you please tell me
I cross breed high GP Purebred Spanish Horses with Mustang horses to get across the board competition domination. If you get the dressage perk from the PSH mare, so that the primary skills are Dressage, Stamina, and Speed, they clean up in almost all competitions- excluding Barrel Racing and Gallop, where purebred Mustangs take over.
The most important factor to maintaining any talented competition horse is always ensuring it's bred with 100 BLUP because Inborn Skills are incredibly important
why do some breeders only bold 3 of their horses skills? Does this make them better for breeding or winning competitions? I'm very curious
We only bold the top three skills sometimes because that uses the least amount of AP's and time possible when bluping a horse. it has no effect whatsoever. Just easier and less time consuming when you do lots of blups and need to spend less AP's
I just crossbreeded a two crossbreed horses, but not all of the breeds are in the foal.
breeds: selle français, hanoverain, abrabian horse, KWPN
Breeds: australian pony, thoroughbred, hanoverian
So the foal should have 6 breeds: selle français, hanoverain, arabian horse, KWPN, australian pony, thoroughbred.
But i the list of the foal, KWPN is missing. Is this normal or a mistake or something like that?
