Hey,
team horses are horses with the affix of a team. You can't change the affix of the horse if you're not a team member (and I don't know how it works if you are IN a team, since I never was - on the page I linked it says it "cannot be withdrawn or replaced", meaning you can't take the horse off the team).

The team can set a threshold of genetic potential, and they can change it. It determines with which GP team horses can breed or be sold. So it is possible that you buy a horse with a team affix, but they change the threshold so you can't breed with it. You could politely ask the teams mods/admins if they might change it, if you want to breed with a team horse. But there's nothing you can do on your own to be able to breed with them if the team doesn't change the threshold.

You can just check the affix before buying a horse.

If i set the Sale Threshold to 4,500 and GP to say, 4,000. Only horses sold 4,000gp or under can breed after sale? Or is it over 4,000?

only horses below the threshold can breed after sale. This also makes sense when you think about it: The team wants to keep the more valuable horses (with more GP) for themselves and also not allow breeding with them. There wouldn't be any point to restrict the breeding of horses with low GP, but not with high GP. At least I don't see any ^^
