Happy Birthday Howrse International

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the international version, there will be a new edition of the contest we had for the anniversary of the French version.

It works exactly the same way, will be on all servers, will last 24 hours, but with a different jackpot: Ow's Helios' Ray. We are also adding a new landscape for the Ow's Helios' Ray.

Concept: Find the 10 hidden candles throughout the game. The clues will help you find the candles. Those who find the 10 candles gain the Ow's Helios' Ray.

Ow's Memories

We are launching a new contest, "Ow's Memories", based on the same principle as the Memory card matching game.

Play from level to level, as the levels get progressively harder. Win a prize with each level you complete! Complete all 20 levels and win the jackpot prize, the divine horse: Fern.

Use sets of keys to find pairs on different levels. Match nostalgic card tiles with images from previous contests.

Objectives

The objectives are random from one player to another but have the same level of difficulty. There are three objectives for each level. Complete the objective or donate a Black Market item.

How to play

Visit the contest page and complete the tutorial, leading you through the first level.

At the start of a level, all the tiles are face down and have the 'never been turned over' status.

The tiles have 3 different statuses:

Never been turned over at any point

Face down - tile that isn't turned over

Face up - tile is turned over, showing the graphic on it

Sets of keys
Each player has a certain number of key sets allowing you to turn over the tiles. The pairs you need to match up are found among these tiles.

1 set of keys is used to turn over 2 tiles
The set of keys is used up after clicking on the second tile.
Receive 6 sets of keys upon first connection each day. You can also win them through objectives or when they are available on the Black Market.

Tiles
When you turn over 2 tiles:

-- If the two tiles are part of a pair, the progression meter fills up.
-- If the 2 tiles were the last in the level, you win the gift of the level and can progress to the next one.
-- If the two tiles aren't part of a pair, an animation sign is triggered to show that you can't click for 2 seconds; at the end of the timer, the 2 tiles then turn over.

Once you have completed a level, the level is unlocked. You can play it for free and for fun anytime without using sets of keys. However, the cards you get have no effect on the collections and you don’t get any extra gifts.

Jokers
In addition to sets of keys, you also have three types of Jokers to help find pairs. Jokers can be used when you have turned over the first tile but haven't yet turned over the second one.

Joker 1: 4 Make a Pair Magnifying glass

The '4 Make a Pair' joker highlights 4 tiles that stay face down

Among these 4 tiles, 1 is hiding the match of the image you have already found, and 3 others selected at random. The tiles remain highlighted until you turn over the second tile.

Note: The highlight only affects tiles that are face down.

Joker 2: Favorable Alignment Crystal ball

The 'Favorable Alignment' joker highlights all the tiles in a particular row or column.

The joker first locates the second item from the pair whose first item you have already found by turning over a tile, then it randomly highlights all the tiles in the row or column where this second item is located. The tiles remain highlighted until you turn over the second tile.

Note: The highlight only affects tiles that are face down.

Joker 3 Family Ties Spell book

The 'Family Ties' joker displays the symbol for the series of tile you have already turned over and displays that symbol on the backs of every tile on the grid that is from that same series. The symbol stays visible on the backs of the tiles until the end of the level.

Permanent offers

* Additional Key sets: During the event, players can purchase additional sets of keys using passes.
* Additional Jokers: For the duration of the event, players may purchase additional jokers using passes.

At certain times of the contest, Key set packs are available on the black market.
When the operation is activated, the pack cost will be: 1 Pass = 5 Key Sets

Collections


Scattered throughout these series are the tiles you need to collect to complete the Collections, same as for the Plant event.

The aim is to collect each version of each type of memory card. There is a total of 14 cards/tiles you can collect:

2 specific cards of the Chocolate collection (Rabit and Egg) => 5x sets of keys

3 specific cards of the Fruit collection (Apple, Strawberry, Banana) => 5x Joker 1

4 specific cards of the Halloween collection (Crocodile, Ghost, Pumpkin, Licorice) => 5x Joker 2

5 specific cards of the Treasure Hunt collection (Medallion, Scarab, Eagle Vase, Book, Red Vase) => 5x Joker 3

When you have completed all the collections, you win an extra prize: 1 x Horn of Plenty

This new collection is added to the Collections page under “Achievements” at the end of the event.

New divine horse Fern

Fern is one of the Plant Kingdom horses.

He can be watered instead of drinking.

This horse's skills increase when you give them Droppings. The skills increase depends on the amount of Droppings the horse is given, as well as the season in the game.

When he reaches 2000 skill points, he can be pruned. His skills will then be reset to 0, but he'll give you 1 x Hera's pack.

the locks and typical matches that need to be made. The first one shows you the chests that gives you the levels and must be clicked on to display the second image. The second image shows the actual game board. The third shows two uncovered items you need to match to the two locks that are not opened.

How many tiles each stage contained and the objective rewards? If we knew that I think we might be able to estimate the number of passes needed.

I feel kind of optimistic about this promo - it's nice to have something new.

You started out with 3 rows and progressed to 8 or 9. I think it was about 3 for the first 4/5 chests then I do know the last 3 were in the 8/9 rows. I just can't remember exactly how many per chest. Sorry.

The Wilderness Community Nomad


Goal: Give Wilderness crystals together to unlock as many copies of this horse as you can.

Each of them will visit a different player each day until the next nomad contest.
If you are lucky enough to see him come to your farm, you can take care of your own horse and enjoy his extraordinary skills.

How to play ?

To win a nomadic horse, wait for it to unlock then collect points:

New for unicorn breeding

Unicorn breeders, we are simplifying your lives: It will no longer be necessary to wait 12 hours between 2 sessions or wait out 30 days to be able to change your covering time.

Gone are the 12 hours of waiting and the constraint of fixed hours. Breeding unicorns has been simplified for you!

For your unicorn coverings, you now use two 60-second sessions each day (from one daily update to the other) and choose yourself when to activate them. Thus, it is totally flexible. your unicorn covering hours adapt to all your time constraints and can take place at different times each day!

Go to the page of the unicorn you want to cover. Prepare the covering by choosing a stallion and the BMIs you wish to use. When you confirm the covering, a covering session will begin. The counter begins and you have 60 seconds to do all the coverings you'd like.

If no session is available, the button to confirm the covering is grayed out and indicates how much time you must wait before you can start the next session.

Tips:

In order to not start covering sessions in bad conditions, it is no longer possible to breed a unicorn with a unicorn of another breed or with a horse.

For VIP accounts, the advantage to "Modify your unicorn covering hours every 15 days instead of 30" has been removed. Go to the benefits page to choose another!

The use of Hestia's Gift is unchanged: the BMI allows you to always receive a unicorn, regardless of the covering time, and does not begin a unicorn covering session.

Whaat Nooo don't change the unicorns! It's no fun if it's too easy

It's not necessarily making it easy, just making a difference to the times so busy people can actually breed unicorns, I personally think this is a good change as not everyone can get their times right. The chances of getting a uni are still the same, just the times are more friendly.

Does anyone know when the next event(s) will begin? Or how long it/they will go for?

But if the times are not a problem then the only issue is the chances of getting a unicorn You'd be able to cover your unicorns easily and so more unicorns will be covered resulting in more unicorns and them being less valuable and harder to get a good ranking with it would be cool at first but after a while even donkeys would be worth more

This change won't introduce thousands of new unicorns into the game and especially not on a small server like ours, there most likely won't even be a difference in unicorn prices if everyone keeps them how they are and the amount of unicorns in the sales. There might be a small difference on the Int server but nothing dramatic or noticeable. If anything people in unicorn teams will get a nice boost out of this with less opportunity to miss their times.

I was originally upset about the update making things easier, because I never miss my time of day of anyway (I'm a live-in dog-sitter with wifi access). I realized other people don't have that luxury and I'm super excited they'll get their chance to be a unicorn breeder like me. In fact, with it being a slight bit easier sales may go up for a bit since people who originally had changing schedules would have been wasting time by buying one. Besides, I remember the time I bred a unicorn under the right conditions 7 times in a row (waiting the correct amount of time between) and had 7 fails. Even with the new small advantage, it'll still be a job for us more patient players.
